Starting out?
I will endeavour to give you the relevant info here. No waffle and no bull.
So let’s start with a few basics. My name is Chris James. I have been working in the design and branding industry for 30+ years. Although I create brands, design logos etc and build websites I don’t consider myself a ‘graphic designer‘ or ‘web designer’ a least not a normal one.
Why? because, unlike most designers I’ve met or worked with, I am (now) an entrepreneur and business person as much as branding and design wiz. And on a personal level, I’ll admit I’m still a work in progress despite my age. This position (pitch even) has allowed me to work with some great clients over the years. Helping them move their businesses forward. And in particular, enabling them to compete in today’s ever-changing market-place. It’s fair to say things move so fast and with all the other things a business person is supposed to keep up with I, we can agree it’s harder than ever to keep up and make the right call if you don’t know what you’re doing…
